1、所有的連接應使用鍍鋅連接件或不銹鋼連接件及五金制品，以抗腐蝕，不能使用不同金屬件，否則很快會生銹，使木制品結構受到根本損傷。
1. Galvanized or stainless steel connectors and hardware products shall be used for all connections to resist corrosion. Different metal parts shall not be used, otherwise it will rust quickly and cause fundamental damage to the wood structure.
2、在制作和穿孔的過程中，應先用電鉆打眼，然后用螺絲等固定，以免造成 人為的開裂。

3、待木材干燥或風干后在其表面上使用木材防護漆進行涂刷。使用戶外木材專用漆時應注意首先要充分搖勻，涂飾后需24小時的晴天條件，使涂料在木材表面成膜。

4、防腐木在運到施工現場時，應通風存放并盡可能的避免陽光暴曬直射。在防腐木木屋設計施工時，應盡可能全角和防腐木材料現有的尺寸如需切割、鉆孔等，要使用防腐劑進行涂刷補救，以保證仿防腐層的完整性。在連接時應預孔，這樣可以減少開裂。

5、搭建防腐木棧道、地板、露臺時，盡量使用長木板，減少接頭，以求美觀，板面之間留5-10mm縫隙。亭子的所有連接點請使用鍍鋅緊固件，或不銹鋼及五金，防止生銹而造成防腐劑流失。
